Evan has worked for nearly a decade in the film and commercials industry in a wide range of roles with a cohort of collaborators. He is an all-rounder who always manages to blend creativity and versatility with precision and heart. His work finds that sweet spot where a brand’s message becomes both memorable and compelling—no small feat when competing with the skip ad countdown.

But commercials are just one part of his repertoire. Evan has also directed short films that have played at some of the world’s top festivals, including a premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and the centrepiece at the New York Africa International Film Festival at the Lincoln Centre. While he’s currently working on his first feature, he’ll be the first to tell you the journey is just as important as the destination (or so he keeps reminding himself). Equipped with a BAFA from the University of Cape Town's Michaelis School of Fine Art, Evan keeps exploring the bewildering space between making art and selling stuff.
